A blocky game ยท v1, b'ezrat hashem
Mine matzah.
Place menorahs.
Argue about it.
Jewish Craft is a first-person voxel sandbox that drops you somewhere between the Sinai Desert and the Lower East Side, hands you an olive-wood pickaxe, and gets out of the way. Build a Temple. Build a deli. Build a sukkah out of gefilte stone โ we won't tell.
"Six days shall you mine; on the seventh, kvetch."
WASD + mouse. Break blocks with the left mouse button, place them with the right. You know the drill.
Five biomes, hand-tuned palettes, olive trees that look stubborn even in cube form.
Jerusalem stone, challah, schmaltz, the Ner Tamid, and yes, gefilte fish in load-bearing brick form.
No download, no launcher, no Java edition vs. Bedrock argument. It just opens.
Every block comes with a one-liner. Some are even reverent. A few are not.
Mobs (hello, Bubbie), crafting, Shabbat events, and a Golem you have to write instructions for.
Five biomes, one diaspora
The world is procedurally generated. Walk far enough in any direction and the landscape will probably remind you of somewhere your great-grandparents complained about.
- Sinai DesertSand. Sand. Limestone. Slightly more sand.
- Land of Milk & HoneyOlive groves and honey pools. Yes, you can drown in it.
- Old City of JerusalemLimestone walls that glow gold at golden hour.
- ShtetlWood, mud, and the feeling that someone is watching.
- Lower East SideBrick tenements. Pickle barrel optional.
Nu, what are you waiting for?
The matzah isn't going to mine itself. (It would be ironic if it did.)
